MORE THAN
A CLEANUP.
WHY IT MATTERS
World Cleanup Day is not just about picking up litter. It is a platform for education, civic action and lasting change — and schools are at the heart of it.
A GLOBAL MOVEMENT
The largest civic environmental event in human history. Your students join 25 million people doing the same thing on the same day.
REAL IMPACT
Every kilogram collected, every volunteer counted — data reported to the United Nations every year. Your school is part of the global record.
REAL IMPACT
Waste segregation, plastic pollution, ocean health, collective action. A morning outside becomes a lesson that students carry with them for life.
REAL IMPACT
In 2026, Mauritius joins WCD for the first time as a fully organised national movement. Your school is part of building that history.
SCHOOLS. COMPANIES.
COMMUNITIES.
ONE MOVEMENT.
PART OF SOMETHING BIGGER
THE ECOSYSTEM
The school toolkit, the webinars, the coordination, the data collection — everything your school receives is made possible by the companies that partner with World Cleanup Day Mauritius. When a company becomes a corporate partner, part of what they fund is your students' education. That is the ecosystem we are building: businesses that show their ESG commitments through real action, and schools that receive the tools to teach the next generation.
EDUCATION FUNDED BY
CORPORATE COMMITNT.
World Cleanup Day Mauritius is an ecosystem — not a single event. Schools and students are at the heart of it, made possible by the companies and organisations that invest in the future of this island.

The scientifically identified threshold at which civic action generates lasting societal change. Slovenia reached 14% of its population. Eight countries have crossed it since 2018. Our mission is to reach every secondary school in Mauritius — because it starts in schools, and it starts now.
